The town of Luton outside London has a large Muslim population. In recent years, it has been in the local and global news for various examples of negative stories associated with Islam and Muslims; and the far right English Defence League (EDL) has planned provocative anti-Islam marches there. These and many other issues have caused there to be raised tensions between Muslims and non-Muslims there and in other parts of the UK.

On 23rd July Petersburg prosecution confirmed the charges in the case filed against two Muslims, Gabor Mhamidov and Mohammed Amin Salif. According to Article 205.5 of the Penal Code of the Russian Federation, which speaks of "participation in organized terrorist activities." The two brothers and other members of Hizb ut Tahrir have been arrested on 24th June 2014 and were the first to have the lawsuits been fabricated against them.

In the press release issued by the Presidential House (Arg) on 20th July 2015, President Ghani expressed “profound sorrow over the death and wounding of a number of Afghan National Army soldiers as a result of Air strike by the International Forces”.

On Friday, 8th Shawwal 1436 AH, 24 July 2015 your electronic page of Islammemo featured a news report entitled: “The Pentagon Announced the Death of Al-Qaeda leader Abu Khalil the Sudanese in Afghanistan”, which states: "US Defense Department, the Pentagon, announced on Friday that a senior leader in Al-Qaeda was killed, along with two other militants in a US strike that targeted him in Afghanistan.
