On 02/04/2017, Hizb ut-Tahrir / Wilayah Sudan received a written approval from the specific authorities to hold a mass rally to commemorate the 96th anniversary of the destruction of the Khilafah "Caliphate" under the slogan: "One Nation, One Banner ... Under the Shade of a Righteous Khilafah "Caliphate"”, in the League Square in Shambat - Khartoum North. The party then completed all what was necessary to hold the festival. A few hours before the festival, the authorities told us verbally that this festival has been banned, and in thuggish manner,

The conference held by Hizb ut Tahrir/ Wilayah of Lebanon on 30th Rajab 1438 AH corresponding to 27/4/2017 CE, on the 96th anniversary of the destruction of the Khilafah "Caliphate"; the Muslims' protection, and the one that raises their banner; the state that looks after the affairs of the Muslims with the rules of Islam and carries Islam to the world with Dawah and Jihad.

On 28 Rajab 1342 Hijri / 3^rd March 1924 CE, the Khilafah "Caliphate" was abolished by the unbelievers and with the cooperation of Arab and Turkish traitors serving them under the British leadership. The first Parliament in Ankara took the decision to lift the Khilafah "Caliphate" in a fearful atmosphere.

On the 28^th of Rajab 1342 Hijri (3^rd March, 1924), the last true legitimate leader of the Muslims was deposed in Istanbul, and the last government that ruled by the law of Allah (swt) was discarded and replaced with the iron fist of secularism.  On the anniversary of this terrible calamity, it is imperative for us to take stock of the significance of what we have lost in the past century, and understand what is the response that Allah (swt) requires from us.
