Hizb ut-Tahrir organized protests in Karachi, Lahore, Islamabad and Peshawar against the government action of persecuting pro-Khilafah "Caliphate" military officers and civilians. Protestors were holding banners and placards which read " Pro-American traitors in Civilian and Military leadership are pursuing a policy of purging Pro-Khilafah "Caliphate" Civilians and Military Officers" and "Expel America from Pakistan, which is the real reason of chaos and turmoil."

On 29th March, Government thugs attacked Hizb ut Tahrir weekly Dars in the Model Town area of Lahore and arrested more than 15 people. A case was lodged against them according to the Anti-Terrorism Act, Clause 11-W, and today, 30th March, they were sent to jail on judicial remand. To humiliate these sincere and educated youngsters, they were presented in front of Media head-covered.

A joint meeting of the Peoples' Assembly and the Shura Council (in Egypt) voted that the constitution drafting committee would be composed by 50% parliamentarians and 50% people from outside parliament, made up of public figures, organizations and institutions.
