July 2020 marks the 25th anniversary of the Srebrenica genocide, when Serb forces entered the enclave of Srebrenica, designated as a ‘safe zone’ by the UN during the Bosnian war, and subsequently executed 8000 Muslim men and boys in cold blood at sites around north-eastern Bosnia.

On 11 July 1995, Bosnian Serb units captured the town of Srebrenica in Bosnia-Herzegovina. “All who wish to go will be transported, large and small, young and old. Don't be afraid... No one will harm you." Serbian army General Ratco Miladic.
