In an interview with the Uzbek News Agency following his two-day visit to Uzbekistan on August 23rd and 24th, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev stated: "The relations between Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan, two brotherly countries, are based on shared history, culture, language, and moral values, as well as a deep mutual affection that our people have preserved for centuries and passed down through generations... The close friendship, mutual respect, and trust that binds me to the President of Uzbekistan, my dear brother Shavkat Mirziyoyev, play a special role in strengthening Azerbaijani-Uzbek brotherhood, elevating relations between our two countries to their current level, and developing our alliance. This is my third visit to the country in the last five years, and my seventh visit to this brotherly nation overall. I am always delighted to visit beautiful and unique Uzbekistan, and every trip here holds special significance for me… I made a state visit to Uzbekistan in August 2024”. The President of Uzbekistan paid an official visit to Azerbaijan in July 2025. The numerous documents signed during these bilateral visits, particularly the Declaration on Deepening Strategic Partnership and the Treaty on Alliance Relations, formally strengthened the natural alliance between our two independent, strong, and sovereign states. At the same time, the Supreme Interstate Council, established in August 2023, has become an important institutional mechanism for deepening the strategic partnership and alliance relations between Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan. The two meetings previously held by the Council in Tashkent and Baku demonstrate the rapid pace at which relations are developing, the consistency of the political dialogue, and the two countries' determination to work together in accordance with their shared vision. As is well known, the central corridor passing through the Khazar Sea (Caspian Sea) is the so-called Trump Route for International Peace and Prosperity (TRIPP), a project being constructed with US mediation, which originated from the peace agreement between Azerbaijan and Armenia. According to the 2025 agreements, America obtained exclusive management rights for 99 years over this short but strategically important route, which passes through the Meghri region of Armenia and the Zangezur corridor. Thus, this corridor is not merely a transit route, but an American gateway connecting Central Asia to Europe, completely bypassing Russia and Iran. Washington aims, by establishing a zone of control similar to the Panama Canal, to seize control of the region's energy and mineral resources. Political experts assert that this corridor will redraw the map of the South Caucasus, placing the region under the permanent military and economic control of the West, and more specifically, America.

However, it seems extremely difficult to manage Central Asia's stance toward Russia and limit its influence as much as possible without Uzbekistan's participation. For this reason, America wants to maintain its close relations with Azerbaijan in order to encourage Mirziyoyev to adopt a more assertive position toward Russia. In this context, Azerbaijan can serve as a clear example for everyone, especially Uzbekistan. America also recognizes that Russia, given the significant decline in Putin's regime in foreign policy recently and its diminishing military power, will not be able to respond with the same level of resolve to Azerbaijan's firm stance towards it. Therefore, the America is trying to strengthen relations between Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan to win over Uzbekistan and secure its support for its anti-Russian policies in Central Asia. In this context, the Supreme Interstate Council, between the two countries, established in August 2023, has become an important institutional mechanism for deepening the strategic partnership and alliance relations between Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan. Azerbaijan paid a state visit to Uzbekistan in 2024, and the President of Uzbekistan paid an official visit to Azerbaijan in July 2025. During these two bilateral visits, a large number of mutual documents were signed, in particular the Declaration on Deepening Strategic Partnership and the Treaty on Alliance Relations.

In conclusion, America is behind this bilateral visit because Azerbaijan is unlikely to confront Russia alone. Therefore, it appears that Azerbaijan, seeking American support, has taken it upon itself to distance Central Asian states, including Uzbekistan, from Russia. For this reason, the truth that all Central Asian Muslims, especially the people of Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan, must understand is that Aliyev's statement—"The relations between Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan, two brotherly countries, are based on shared history, culture, language, and moral values, as well as a deep mutual affection that our people have preserved for centuries and passed down through generations..."—is nothing but an exploitation of the feelings of Muslim people to hand over the wealth Allah has bestowed upon them to the kafir colonizers.

O Muslims of Central Asia, do not allow your rulers to serve the interests of America and other colonial powers, for this will lead to your wealth falling into the hands of the kaffir (disbelieving) colonizers, at a time when the people of Central Asia are suffering from severe economic hardship!

The only way to rid yourselves of these treacherous rulers, who offer your wealth to the kafir colonizers for the sake of their thrones and their own interests, is to turn to Islam and submit to it, unite upon its foundation, and implement it under the Khilafah (Caliphate). Then the kuffar’s control over the Muslims will be completely eradicated, and Allah's victory will be with us.
