Mourning Daw’ah Brother
Educational Ustadth Ahmed Mohammed Al-Saharin (Abu Khalid)
[مِّنَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ رِجَالٌ صَدَقُواْ مَا عَاهَدُواْ اللَّهَ عَلَيْهِ فَمِنْهُم مَّن قَضَى نَحْبَهُ
وَمِنْهُم مَّن يَنتَظِرُ وَمَا بَدَّلُواْ تَبْدِيلاً]
“Among the believers are men who have proven true to what they pledged to Allah. Some of them have fulfilled their pledge ˹with their lives˺, others are waiting ˹their turn˺. They have never changed ˹their commitment˺ in the least.” [Al-Ahzab 33:23]

The Media Office of Hizb ut Tahrir / Wilayah of Jordan mourns the passing of the honorable educator, the academic Ahmed Muhammad Al-Saharin (Abu Khalid), one of the members of Hizb ut Tahrir, who passed away on Wednesday, December 10, 2025, at the age of 79. He was one of the previous and well-known dawah carriers in Tafilah.

Ustadth Ahmed Al-Saharin dedicated his life to spreading the message of Islam, speaking the truth, educating, mentoring, and exemplifying. He was a bold and unwavering advocate of the Deen, undeterred and fearless. He held a special place in people's hearts and was remembered fondly by them, having fulfilled his duties with integrity and sincerity. We believe, and Allah is his Judge, that he was committed to Islam in its creed, rulings, and call to Allah in a manner pleasing to Him, the Almighty.

He suffered from illness towards the end of his life, but he remained content, patient, and steadfast until Allah Almighty took him. We pray to Allah Almighty to forgive him, have mercy on him, and grant him a place in the highest Paradise with the prophets, the righteous, the martyrs, and the virtuous—what excellent companions they are! We pray that Allah grants his family patience and solace, and that He rewards them greatly for their loss. We say only what pleases Allah Almighty.

[إِنَّا للهِ وَإِنَّا إِلَيْهِ رَاجِعُونَ] “Surely to Allah we belong and to Him we will ˹all˺ return.” [TMQ Al-Baqarah 2:156].
