The Mecca Agreement Serves the American Interests, Not the Ummah's
(Translated)

The leaders of Turkey, Pakistan, and Saudi Arabia met in Mecca on Friday, August 7th and signed a joint defense agreement encompassing the three countries. A statement issued by the Directorate of Communications indicated that the agreement was signed based on shared strategic interests and established defense cooperation, with the aim of strengthening collective security, promoting peace and stability, and building a secure and prosperous future together. The statement emphasized that the agreement aims to strengthen all forms of collective deterrence and stipulates that any attack against one of the three countries will be considered an attack against all three.

This agreement was reached during an urgent visit by the Pakistani and Turkish administrations to Riyadh, at the invitation of the Saudi Crown Prince, an invitation that was not on the official agenda. The announcement to the media and the public opinion on the same day that the agreement was signed in Mecca reveals the presence of a foreign power behind the scenes. This detail alone is sufficient to demonstrate that the will that brought the three countries together and compelled them to sign the agreement was not their own. What unites the Turkish, Pakistani, and Saudi administrations is none other than their master, America, and its interests. Based on the requirements of its new strategy in the Middle East, America asked these countries to sign the agreement, and they implemented what was asked of them.

This alliance is a new pressure card employed by America—which failed to achieve its objectives in the Strait of Hormuz—to further restrict Iran. It is delusional to expect any benefit from this alliance for the people of Turkey, Pakistan, and Saudi Arabia, or indeed for the Muslim world. Claiming that the agreement stems from deep-rooted historical ties, fraternal relations, and a shared spirit of Islamic solidarity among the three nations is merely an attempt to conceal the true architect of this arrangement. If the rulers of these countries truly cared about shared historical bonds, fraternal relations among Muslims, and the spirit of Islamic solidarity, they would not have abandoned Gaza. Of course, we had hoped that their unity was based on pleasing Allah, and that the will that established this alliance was their own independent will, enabling them to use this power to announce the eradication of the Jewish entity from the Blessed Land. However, we saw nothing of the sort, neither in the agreement nor in their statements. On the contrary, they emphasized that this alliance is not a replacement for NATO and does not conflict with the interests of the United States.

It is therefore both sad and astonishing that some Muslims attach such importance to this step, which was taken to ensure the security of the Jewish entity, contain China, and strangle Iran. What can Muslims expect from Saudi Arabia and Bin Salman (MBS), to whom US President Trump directed heavy insults, saying, "– we’re protecting you – you might not be there for two weeks without us!"? How can anyone believe that Shahbaz Sharif is serving the unity of the Muslim Ummah, when he stood and applauded Trump in Egypt—Trump who declared he would provide all the weapons the murderer Netanyahu wanted to destroy Gaza and raze it to the ground—and prayed for him, saying, "You are the leader that world peace so desperately needs. May God grant you a long life!"? And how could Erdogan—whom Trump praised, saying, "A very good friend, doing a great job, and he did everything I asked of him"—have concluded this agreement against America's interests and benefits? The first thing these rulers who lead the Muslims must do is define the concepts of friend and enemy.

Such alliances, built by countries that accept the colonial power of America as a friend and ally, and that await normalization with the usurping and occupying Jewish entity, do not serve the unity of the Muslims but rather their fragmentation and division. The alliance that will achieve the unity of the Islamic Ummah must abolish artificial borders, view nation-states as a problem, and consider the disbelievers as its enemies. Such an alliance can only be achieved under the Khilafah Rashida (rightly guided Caliphate), whose establishment is now very near.
