Hizb ut Tahrir / Uzbekistan Strongly Condemns the Visit of the Indian Prime Minister to Uzbekistan
(Translated)
At the invitation of Uzbekistan's President Mirziyoyev, India's Prime Minister Modi is visiting our country on a state visit on 29 and 30 August. On this occasion, we affirm the following to our Muslim people in Uzbekistan:
There is no doubt that many Muslims have come to know the true evil face of India, yet we remind everyone once again. It has been a long time since India declared an open war on Islam and Muslims, and its crimes are in no way less than the massacres committed by the Jewish entity against Muslims in blessed Palestine, or the brutal repression practiced by China against Muslims in East Turkestan. Everyone must have heard the horrifying news about the injustice and violence practiced by India in occupied Kashmir alone, and against our Muslim brothers there, especially women. Kashmir is one of the usurped lands of the Muslims that was ruled by Islam and was described as “Paradise on Earth.” But in 1947, it was occupied by a state founded upon the ideology of Hindutva. As a result, it turned into a hotspot in which Muslims are subjected to unbearable oppression.
Among what came in the press statement issued by the Women's Section in the Central Media Office of Hizb ut Tahrir on 15 October 2025: “Various human rights organizations have visited Kashmir to document cases of violence and rape against civilians, and what they reported was astonishing in its atrocity. The Indian army, the Central Reserve Police Force, and the Border Security Forces are all involved in sexual violence against Muslim women in Kashmir, with the aim of humiliating and punishing them, in addition to its being a means of forcing Muslim men accused of extremism to surrender themselves. Women are also subjected to extrajudicial killing, being purposely blinded, and their homes, shops, and entire villages are burned down under the pretense of stopping terrorism.”
Moreover, the Indian regime leaves no room for life for the millions of Muslims living inside India. The hatred of this regime towards Muslims has no limits, and it constantly incites its people, who worship cows, against Islam and Muslims. It is also as clear as the sun that these matters are political tricks being carried out to distract the population from problems such as poverty and unemployment there. In one phrase, the saying of Allah Almighty:
[لَتَجِدَنَّ أَشَدَّ النَّاسِ عَدَاوَةً لِلَّذِينَ آمَنُوا الْيَهُودَ وَالَّذِينَ أَشْرَكُوا] “You will surely find the most hostile people towards the believers to be the Jews and those who associate others with Allah.” [TMQ Al-Ma'idaa:82] clearly expresses the injustice and violence of the polytheistic Hindu regime against Islam and Muslims.
And now, Modi, the Prime Minister of this criminal state, comes to defile our country. Although our people are Muslim, and the rulers sitting upon our chests also consider themselves Muslims, how can it be possible to overlook the fact that the Indian regime is a bitter enemy of Islam and Muslims?! Receiving Modi with open arms is equivalent to showing affection and friendship to Netanyahu or Xi Jinping, who are cursed by Allah. Establishing cooperation and relations of friendship with them—as is the case with mocking the Muslims of Gaza and East Turkestan—is a mockery of the pains and sorrows of the Muslims in Kashmir and India, and rubbing salt into their wounds.
We say to the Uzbek regime: Your receiving Modi with open arms and honouring him is equivalent to glorifying and honouring the enemies of Allah. By this action, you are rubbing salt into the wounds of the Muslims in Kashmir and India and ignoring their cries and groans. But by this action, you will attain nothing but the rage of Allah.
And we say to our Muslim people once again: Take the position dictated to you by Islam against Modi's visit, which is to reject receiving him, strongly condemn his visit, and hold the Uzbek regime accountable for its friendship with India and for such actions that provoke the anger of Allah. More important than all of this is that everyone exerts his utmost effort to work for the establishment of the Khilafah (Caliphate) State, which is the only force that will liberate our usurped Islamic lands, such as Kashmir. The Messenger of Allah (saw) said: «إِنَّمَا الْإِمَامُ جُنَّةٌ يُقَاتَلُ مِنْ وَرَائِهِ وَيُتَّقَى بِهِ» “Indeed, the Imam is a shield; fighting is done behind him and protection is sought through him.”
