Hizb ut Tahrir/ Sudan Wilayah: Activities and Events During August 2026
Continuing to nourish the Ummah with the ideas and rulings of Islam concerning life, Hizb ut Tahrir in the Wilayah of Sudan carried out intensive activities throughout August 2026. It sent delegations to prominent figures, tribal leaders, and community leaders; held political addresses in public places, including mosques and markets; discussed the issues and problems affecting the people in various forums; and opened its political salon to thinkers, media professionals, and people of opinion.
The official spokesperson of Hizb ut Tahrir in the Wilayah of Sudan, Ustadh Ibrahim Othman (Abu Khalil), also addressed the problems facing the people of Sudan through a series of statements and a press conference. Overall, these activities were beneficial and constructive, and they included the following:
1. Delegations
The Central Communications Committee of Hizb ut Tahrir in the Wilayah of Sudan, headed by the Chairman of the Committee, Ustadh Nasir Reda, carried out numerous visits targeting a number of tribal leaders. These included:
• Nazir Ali Ibrahim Daqal, Nazir of the Beni Amer tribe, at his home in Kassala, as well as the General Nazir of the Halenga.
• Engineer Ali Abdul Qadir Shikilay, at his home in Kassala, accompanied by the Nazir's deputy, Abdul Qadir Sayed Ahmed, Sheikh Hassan Ismail, and others.
• Nazir of the Muslimiyya, Sheikh Muhammad Mustafa Abdul Karim Mubarak, at his home in the village of Ad al-Tina, in the rural area of Gedaref.
• The Omda of Bayt Ma'ala, one of the branches of the Beni Amer tribe, Sheikh Hasabullah al-Tahir, accompanied by Ustadh Muhammad Hussein, secretary to the Omda, at the party's office in Gedaref.
• Nazir of the Habab tribe, Sheikh Muhammad Ali Muhammad Saeed, at his home in Gedaref.
• The Sufi lodge in Gedaref, where the delegation met with the sheikhs Othman Abdul Rahman al-Azraq, Hamad Abdul Rahman al-Azraq, and Ahmed Othman Abdul Rahman al-Azraq.
• Nazir Awad al-Karim Mahmoud Zaid (Wad Zaid), General Nazir of the Dhabayna tribe and Deputy Chairman of the Native Administration in Sudan, at his office in the Gedaref Market.
• Ustadh Mujahid Muhammad Harun, Chairman of the Shura Council of the Hausa tribe in Sudan and Director of the Training and Administrative Reform Department in the Red Sea Wilayah, at his office in Port Sudan.
In all his meetings with the delegations, Ustadh Nasir focused on the political and military situation in Sudan and the danger of being dragged into the plans of the disbelieving coloniser, who seeks to tear the country apart through tribal and racial mobilisation.
He spoke about what is happening on the ground these days: every tribe has begun calling upon its youth, and every tribe has established its own armed movement. He explained that this is in fact a project of the coloniser, aimed at sowing division among the people and tearing the country apart, so that the state can be transformed into weak and fragmented entities.
He exposed America's plans to separate Darfur and divide Sudan, explaining that this is an old plan which is now being implemented by America and its agents among the rulers. He also highlighted the worst aspect of this matter: the exploitation of certain tribes and efforts to arm them so that they may serve as a Trojan horse in the fragmentation of Sudan.
Ustadh Nasir reminded these leaders of the positions taken by the tribal leaders of the past, whom Allah (swt) praised for supporting Islam and establishing its great edifice—the State of the Prophet (saw). He stressed that the duty today is for tribal leaders to support Islam so that they may be saved from the sin of dying upon the death of Jahiliyyah.
The tribal leaders welcomed and praised the points raised by the Hizb ut Tahrir delegations. They appreciated the party's leading role in following developments in Sudan. Some of them said, “As long as this is your approach, then we are with you wholeheartedly.” One of them went so far as to say: “Consider me an honorary member with you.” Some expressed their wish for the establishment of the Khilafah State today rather than tomorrow, while others expressed their support for the idea, saying: “We are with you and support your efforts to unite the ranks, unify the word, and establish the Khilafah.”
The leaders thanked the Hizb ut Tahrir delegations and stated that they were prepared to support Islam and implement its Shariah. They said they opposed plans to fragment the country and plunder its resources, and they all affirmed their commitment to maintaining communication and continuing meetings.
2. The Official Spokesperson in the Wilayah of Sudan and the Issues of Sudan
As for the spokesman for truth, Ustadh Ibrahim Othman Abu Khalil, he confronted the conspiracies being plotted both secretly and openly. He issued one statement after another, exposing the plans of the disbelieving coloniser in Sudan and focusing particularly on the issue of separating Darfur and other crimes being committed against the Ummah.
He issued a statement entitled: “IGAD, the Godfather of the Separation of South Sudan, Returns Once Again to Resume Its Dirty Role.”
He also issued a statement entitled: “America Takes an Advanced Step Towards Stripping Darfur Away Through a No-Fly Zone!”
He further issued a statement concerning the suffering of the administrative capital, Port Sudan, where darkness lasts for hours throughout the night and day due to repeated power cuts, among other issues. He also held a press conference at the party's office in Port Sudan entitled: “Authority Between the Concepts of Dividing the Cake and Shariah Responsibility.”
3. Political Addresses
The political addresses organised by Hizb ut Tahrir / Wilayah of Sudan at the Grand Market in the administrative capital, Port Sudan, addressed several extremely important issues this month. One of these was tribal mobilisation, which divides the Ummah. In this address, Ustadh Hussein al-Hadi explained how the commands and rulings of Islam were able to bring tribes together and unite the peoples of the lands into which Islam entered.
He explained how Muslims living and sharing their lives with others according to the Islamic way of life made them all into brothers who love one another. He then stated that people's attempts today to attach themselves to their homelands and tribes only increase division and will not unite people in the manner commanded by Allah (swt).
In an address entitled: “Do You Believe in Part of the Book and Reject Part of It?!” Ustadh Ibrahim Musharif addressed some mistaken concepts in the minds of Muslims, such as selectively accepting some Islamic rulings while abandoning others, separating politics from acts of worship, and the reluctance of some Muslims to engage in political work. He explained that politics means taking care of people's affairs, that it is an obligation upon Muslims, and that it is among the highest deeds that the Ummah must undertake.
Another address dealt with governance in Islam, explaining that it is a trust and a great responsibility, rather than a struggle, as is happening today, where people compete for positions of authority—even at the expense of people's lives.
This responsibility is demonstrated through proper care of people's affairs and ensuring that their basic needs are satisfied under the rightly guided Khilafah upon the method of Prophethood. Another address dealt with: “Islam's Guarantee of Basic Needs.” The speaker, Ustadh Adel Ibrahim, outlined the basic needs that Islam guarantees to be satisfied for every individual citizen: food, clothing, housing, security, healthcare, and education. He explained that these needs have not been properly satisfied since the destruction of the Khilafah until today, because the current systems link access to these necessities to money, which many people are unable to obtain.
The final political address was held on 31 August 2026, entitled: “The Rulings of Islam Concerning Financial Transactions.” The speaker explained some usurious transactions carried out by individuals and banks, and clarified that the reason for their existence is that the society in which we live is not an Islamic society and its systems are not Islamic. He explained that such unlawful financial transactions would have no place under Islamic life, where individuals and the state are bound by the rulings of Islam. He then urged Muslims to change this reality by establishing the rightly guided Khilafah upon the method of Prophethood, which implements Islam and carries its message to all humanity.
Public Address in Khartoum
In the capital, Khartoum, the party held a public address in commemoration of the birth of the beloved Messenger (saw) in Omdurman, at Sheikh Jaafar Mosque. The address was delivered by lawyer Ustadh Ahmed Abkar, who explained that the anniversary of the birth of the Messenger (saw) is not merely a passing event marked by limited activities in some mosques and public squares. Rather, it is a major historical event.
The Messenger of Allah (saw) came with a universal message, established the state, and carried the Da'wah, after which his Khulafaa, may Allah be pleased with them, continued upon his path. The Ummah today must follow the same path. He charged them with the responsibility of working to resume the Islamic way of life.
4. Hizb ut Tahrir Forums
A. The Ummah's Issues Forum Discusses the Catastrophic Effects of the Renaissance Dam
The Ummah's Issues Forum, held at the office of Hizb ut Tahrir / Wilayah of Sudan in Port Sudan, discussed the issue of Ethiopia's Renaissance Dam and its catastrophic effects on Sudan. Ustadh Ahmed al-Khatib drew attention to the catastrophic consequences of the current situation, including the decline of the Nile's water levels and the resulting thirst and water shortages. He explained that Hizb ut Tahrir had warned of this in numerous forums and statements, as well as in a booklet it published in September 2017. He detailed the negligence of the rulers of Sudan and Egypt regarding the rights of the Ummah. Ustadh Hussein al-Hadi then discussed the Shariah principles governing the treatment of rivers, considering them to be public property. He explained the state's obligation to care for rivers, maintain and clean them, and prevent encroachment upon them. He stated that the threat posed by Ethiopia through this dam would not have occurred if the Muslims had a Khalifah leading them according to the Book of Allah and the Sunnah of His Messenger ﷺ. He said that only the Khilafah can safeguard the interests of the Muslims, even if this requires the use of military force.
B. The Education Problem at the Gedaref Forum
At the Hizb ut Tahrir / Wilayah of Sudan forum in Gedaref, the problems of education under the Khilafah State were compared with the failures of the modern nation-states. The first paper was presented by Ustadh Maysara Yahya, a member of the Media Office of Hizb ut Tahrir in the Wilayah of Sudan.
He discussed how, after the destruction of the Khilafah, the disbelieving West imposed its culture and made it part of the educational systems in our lands. As a result, religion was separated from the state and capitalist ideas were implanted. He then highlighted the state's withdrawal from funding education and its privatisation.
The second speaker detailed the foundations of a systematic educational system established by the Messenger of Allah (saw) and followed by the Khulafaa after him. Through these foundations, Islamic personalities emerged who went on to change the world.
5. Political Salon
The Role of Regional Organisations in Sudanese Politics
The Media Office of Hizb ut Tahrir in the Wilayah of Sudan hosted Ustadh Yaqoub Ibrahim, a member of Hizb ut Tahrir, at the political salon held at the office of Hizb ut Tahrir / Wilayah of Sudan in Port Sudan.
The discussion addressed the role of regional organisations in Sudanese politics, with particular focus on the African Union, IGAD, and the Arab League, which were described as America's tools in the region. The speaker explained their harmful role and their intervention in the fragmentation of Sudan. He detailed the role played by each of these organisations in the separation of South Sudan from the north, as well as their current role in implementing America's plan to strip Darfur away from Sudan.
He concluded by discussing the Shariah ruling regarding participation in these organisations and their presence in our lands, stating that it is forbidden to allow them to interfere in the affairs of the Muslims. He cited Article 191 of the Draft Constitution of the Khilafah State.
